Dyer Pond, which until 1880 was known as Hopkins Pond, is named after a local family, the Dyers, who were part of the area’s early settlers. For generations they significantly influenced the development of the area. Dyer Pond is 36 feet at its maximum depth and covers an area of 12 acres.
